Proper humidity and level temperature is key to ensuring natural products such as leather and wood stay true to quality. Always make sure to do the following:

  • Avoid placing your furniture into direct sunlight. Exposure over a long period of time will result in fading and loss of color.
  • Keep furniture away from heating or air conditioning registers. These remove necessary moisture from your furniture and dry it out, causing additional cracks or splits.

Proper humidity and level temperature is key to ensuring natural products such as leather and wood stay true to quality. Always make sure to do the following:

  • Avoid placing furniture in direct sunlight and rearrange accessories from time to time to prevent spot bleaching. This causes darker finishes to lighten and sometimes cause lighter finishes to darken.
  • For daily maintenance go simple. Use clean and soft cotton rags or cloths to wipe off dust on the surface along the grains. Never use damp rags or anything with a hard surface to rub onto the furniture. Always keep the surface clear of any acid or chemical substances.
  • In order to avoid any damages, defects or issues from occurring, refrain from stacking large and/or heavy objects on top of the furniture. Use coasters or felt pads underneath objects if possible.
  • Keep furniture away from heating and air conditioning sources to prevent loss of moisture in wood.

Leather Care & Handling

Please note that no two pieces of leather are the same; they all have different textures, heredities and backgrounds and our daily use exposes furniture to various strains. Please note and use the following care tips as a guide to protecting your furniture.

There are 3 main characteristics or "blemishes" of natural leather: scratches, wrinkles and scars.

Scratches and deeper rubs that create an organic and distinctively authentic character. These marks do not affect durability of the hide.

Upkeep leather by practicing the
following preventive
maintenance

  • Keep your leather fresh and moisturized using leather conditioners and/or wipes, every few months.
  • Avoid cleaners which use harmful chemical products. Many of these are harsh and are not safe for use on upholstery.
  • Evade stubborn stains & protect your upholstery by avoiding household chemicals such as detergents, window cleaners, bleaches, nail polish, nail polish remover, glue, shoe polish, paint, and other corrosive materials.
  • Leather is a natural product and any stress will result in tears. Additionally, when stretched, the upholstery might not completely return to its original shape. Therefore, when leather is used more intensively, it may become looser over time.
  • If pillow cushions are sewn to the frame, any pulling or tugging might result in a tear. Please avoid any leaning, sitting or reaching over the back of the sofa.
  • To keep your cushions looking fluff and new avoid sitting in one area and use the seating areas evenly.
  • We love our pet friends, but leather and fabrics are not resistant to animals. Allowing pets on your upholstered furniture is not recommended. Their claws may scratch the covers, which can lead to an expensive repair. Their saliva is acidic and may also harm the upholstered finish.

Fabric Care & Cleaning Tips

  • Weekly vacuuming or light brushing helps to remove soil and to prevent dirt embedded between the fibers.
  • Avoid the use of dyes, acids, paints, inks, nail polish and polish removers around your furniture.
  • Keep fabric furniture away from direct sunlight to avoid fading.
  • Periodic cleaning by an authorized technician is recommended to prevent any soil buildup caused by perspiration and body oils that may shorten the life of your fabric upholstered furniture.



Spot Cleaning

  • Polyester fibers: Use the foam only from water based cleaning agents such as mild soap or use non solvent upholstery cleaner.
  • Cotton, Linen Rayon, Silk or Wool: Spot clean using a mild water-free solvent or dry cleaning products.

Limited Warranty

Abbyson warrants that the Abbyson goods sold comply with the description contained in this Warranty. All parts and products are warranted one year from the date of delivery except: parts and products used for commercial, contract, rental trade, institutional, or any other non-residential purposes; parts and products that have not been maintained in accordance with the care recommendations provided by Abbyson; parts and products damaged resulting from the Consumer's improper assembly; or parts and products that are damaged or defective due to normal wear and tear. To exercise rights under this warranty, proper documentation, i.e. photography, purchase order number, manufacturer's bar code label, and or any other pertinent information upon request is required. Abbyson reserves the right to repair or replace the product within the warranty period based upon the documentation received as support of a claim for consideration. Abbyson will not replace or repair any product if improper maintenance, improper handling or improper use caused the damage. Any Abbyson product sold from or modified by a Non-Authorized Dealer, Seller or Consumer will void the Warranty. Abbyson does not supply repair parts free of charge to a third-party, unaffiliated warranty service provider. This warranty does not cover products sold or designated "AS IS" at the time of purchase. Warranty does not cover minor or production variation between product images and the sold product. Cost of packaging and shipping to and from Abbyson is not covered by the warranty unless expressly arranged by Abbyson. This warranty does not extend to furniture that has been exchanged or replaced by Abbyson as settlement of an original claim of defective merchandise.

Frame – 5 Years

Warranty applies to Upholstery hardwood frames, springs and webbing. These are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship, materials and construction for FIVE (5) years from the date of delivery. This warranty does not include frames for beds, headboards and the like. Defects in workmanship and material are defined, for the purpose of this warranty, as causing the product to be unsound structurally or mechanically, or substantially altering the appearance of the piece. This warranty does not cover normal everyday use and does not apply to defects resulting from misuse, accident or negligence , or improper installation or handling by delivery service.

Upholstery – 1 Year

Abbsyon warrants all our upholstery fabrics against defective materials and workmanship for ONE (1) year from the date of delivery. This warranty covers seam failure and fabric separation. This warranty applies as long as it remains upholstered in the original fabric and is used under normal wear in normal conditions. This does not cover shrinkage, piling, or fading due to chemical after‐treatments or improper cleaning. Use of chemical treatment or improper cleaning invalidates the warranty.

Leather – 1 Year

Abbsyon warrants all our leather products against manufacture defects for ONE (1) year from the date of delivery. Excluded from warranty are damage, fading, stretching, and dye lots. Leather's natural markings such as scars, brands, grain variations, wrinkle, etc., will be considered normal characteristics and not construed as defects. Nature's trademarks leave no two cow hides the same, so color variations could occur. Where there is evidence of excessive soiling, improper cleaning, abuse, or where the leather has had some form of chemical applied, this warranty will not apply. The warranty covers normal, everyday wear; however there are some contingencies that cannot be covered. These are: cuts, burns, stains, soiling or damage caused by pets; unreasonable use or improper installation of the fabric; or commercial, non‐residential or rental use.

Seating/Cushions/Fill – 1 Year

Abbyson warrants seating against abnormal loss of resiliency of the upholstered furniture, for ONE (1) year from date of delivery, as long as it is used under normal wear and other normal conditions. Abnormal wear and abnormal loss of resiliency should not be confused with softening and flattening of the foam and fibers, which are considered normal wear, and are not defects.

Mechanism – 2 Years

Abbyson warrants our products with reclining system against manufacture defects for TWO (2) years from the date of delivery. This warranty covers metal reclining frames, footrest rails and its mechanism to be free of defects in manufacturing.

Mechanism Mechanical Release Handles – 1 Year

Mechanical (non‐electric) release components (pull handles, cables, direct drive releases, etc) are warranted to be free of defects in manufacturing and workmanship for ONE (1) year from the date of delivery.

Electrical Components – 1 Year

Electric motors, electric push button mechanism release, wiring, and all other electrical components included in the furniture set are warranted to be free of defects in manufacturing for ONE (1) year from the date of delivery. Care should be taken that the metal frame is not set upon any electrical cords. Extension cords are not recommended for use with electrical motion products. Variant difference in voltage/current ratios can damage electrical components. Electrical components should be plugged in only to properly grounded outlets. Electrical components should not be placed in a wet or damp area which could risk shock or fire.

Floor Damages

Abbyson products ship with plastic floor levelers on our products. Final inspection is completed prior to the packaging of products. These plastic levelers are for leveling furniture when needed to accommodate unleveled floors or carpet height. Abbyson is not responsible for floor damages incurred in the installation process, movement, or use of furniture in the Consumer's home. The levelers are not plastic slides to be used for movement of furniture. Furniture should be picked up for movement, taking care to lift from the sides – not front to back which can damage the mechanisms components. Any piece exceeding one seat cushion width should be considered a "two man" lift to avoid damaging the product or risking injuries.

Recommended Upholstery Care

If necessary, clean immediately with mild soap (non‐concentrated), diluted in lukewarm distilled or purified water and on a soft clean towel. Always try to clean in a small hidden area first. For oil, grease, or stubborn stains: consult a professional upholstery care company. Do not use bleach, oily substance, or strong detergent (including laundry detergents). Use of these materials with chemicals may harm and/or discolor the upholstery. Keep ink, fluids, bodily oils, chemicals and sharp objects away from upholstery. Exposure of leather or fabric to direct sunlight or extreme light sources may cause fading and/or damages. Do not use any heat lamps or hair dryers on the leather or fabric. Do not place over or near a direct heat source.

Customer Repairs

Abbyson cannot accept responsibility for further damages caused or injuries sustained that may result from the attempt of a "self-repair" by a Consumer. Abbyson recommends only trained service technicians attempt repairs to their motion furniture. Abbyson will only supply assembly instructions or make repair recommendations of trained repair personnel. Extra care should be taken when trained technicians work on motion furniture due to moving parts. No attempt should be made to inspect or repair furniture until all precautions have been taken to avoid injuries.

Returns & Replacements

Hassle Free Returns!

Not completely satisfied with your Abbyson.com purchase? No problem! We accept returns within 30 days upon receipt of your order. You may cancel an order any time prior to the order being shipped.

All refunds, full or partial, will be processed within 3-5 business days after the product has been picked up and is no longer in your possession. Refunds will be issued in the form of the original payment, and returns are subject to the policies set forth below.

Return Conditions

Items must be in usable condition to be eligible for return (for example: no stains, tears or other soiling including odors). Accepting returns is at the sole discretion of Abbyson’s judgement of the state of the items. Abbyson reserves the right to refuse any returns. Missing an appointment for a return to be picked up from your address may incur a fee. Additionally, items moved from their original delivery location may not be eligible for return. Abbyson may request descriptions and images to determine the state of the items prior to accepting returns. Lastly, failure to comply with requests, or failure to complete the returns process, may result in Abbyson’s refusal of return.

Cancellations

If your order hasn’t shipped and you’ve had a change of heart, you may cancel and receive a full refund of your purchase by contacting us at support@abbysonliving.com

Damages & Defects

Abbyson stands behind the quality of our products and services we provide to our customers. Your concerns are very important to us and we pride ourselves on making sure you are satisfied every time. If you have received a product that is either damaged or defective, please contact us immediately – we ask that you report the issue within 48 hours of receiving your product. A Customer Experience Specialist will get in touch with you immediately.

Exchanges

Changed your mind? Abbyson offers exchanges and/or replacements based on the nature of the issue. Additionally, we’re more than happy to help you order another product if your original order hasn't already shipped. Exchanges for delivered furniture items are not currently offered.

Final Sale

All items purchased as discontinued, final sale, or as is, will be considered a final sale and cannot be returned.

Price Matching

If we reduce the price of an item you have previously purchased, we will match the price at your request within 14 days upon receipt of the item. Item must be same color, size and in stock. Price match cannot be applied to “final sale” items.
